about
Sultry-voiced singer-songwriter, Natalie Gelman, led a global virtual songwriting collaboration at Hookist.com, and this killer song was the result. Natalie gave her fans a couple of themes to choose from and they picked an "Unopened Letter". Fans submitted 1-2 line lyric ideas at a time and Natalie chose a new one every couple of days or so, and we wrote a song with the entire world, line by line and day by day. Natalie and Terry Derkach of VRTCL Entertainment wrote the music and Natalie performed the world premiere at Hill Country Live in NYC to a packed house and a cheering audience!
Good things come, to those who wait
But how will I know, when it’s been too late
Time heals all, so they say
It should be easier, with each passing day
I wrote this, with a heart so tender
Today it arrived, return to sender
Now my own words stare at me, I should’ve known
Mocking me silently, paper cutting bone
Echoes of memories, for worse or for better
You meant the world to me, you will always be my unopened letter
Was I writing you, or was it just for me
These suffocating words, begging to be free
I trusted my heart, when writing them down
Listened for truth, and heard back no sound
I’ll move on, and lay no blame
With a restless soul, is the hardest to tame
My own words stare at me, like I should’ve known
Mocking me silently, paper cutting bone
Echoes of memories, for worse or for better
You meant the world to me, you will always be my unopened letter
We hung on for the ride, we laughed until we cried
We loved, we fought, we danced, we tried
My own words stare at me, like I should’ve known
Mocking me silently, paper cutting bone
Echoes of memories, for worse or for better
You meant the world to me, you will always be my unopened letter
You meant the world to me, you will always be my unopened letter

Grace is fearless and has unbelievable chops. Her voice is incredible but it's her brilliant and zany personality and undeniable joie de vivre that will blow you away. HOOKIST

Love, love, love the gentle, wise & fantastically kooky creative tour de force that is Chris Barron, best known for his time as lead singer of the Spin Doctors. HOOKIST
